Introduction

We did another Family holiday this year, and this time to Thailand, to the Island of Phuket, where we stayed in a resort just out of Patong. It was great to get away, and be back in the heat and out of Melbourne’s cold weather. It did rain a little bit most days, but it lasted no time at all and was still very warm. It was really great to spend more time with my parents and Zoe especially. I did stuff up with my reading, and really should have read The Beadh by Alex Garland whilst we were there. I only came across it on our way home.

I spent nearly every morning watching the tail of the Group Stage, and the beginning of the knockout stage of the World Cup. It was great.
